In 2013, a 37 foot long
yellow school bus reimagined as a mobile climbing gym has been given to Women's
Wilderness! With seats removed, a climbing wall securely welded to the steel
framework, and floor padded with foam gym mat, an ideal learn-to-climb environment
awaits on the more than 600 square feet of climbing inside the bus.
In the month of ROCKtober,
the climbing bus will make the journey to its new home at The Women’s
Wilderness Institute in Boulder, CO from North Carolina. Along the way we will
be stopping at schools and businesses to build a passion for climbing and
adventure. Join us in this
cross-country journey as we bring the bus to it’s new home and introduce people
to a lifetime of fun and adventure!
